The 33rd Anniversary of the Nepal Heart Foundation, Lalitpur Branch

Nepal Heart Foundation, Lalitpur Branch, was inaugurated by the Deputy Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Mrs. Manjali Shakya Bajracharya, by lighting a panas. On the same occasion, she also launched the book “Mutu-Sita Mutuharu” (Heart-to-Heart) and the foundation’s souvenir publication. She expressed the municipality’s interest in collaborating with the Nepal Heart Foundation for heart disease prevention.

The Lalitpur branch has made significant contributions in raising awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle to prevent heart disease.

The event was chaired by Mr. Bal Krishna Tuladhar, Chairman of the Lalitpur Branch. Former chairman Mr. Bal Govinda Bista delivered the welcome speech.

Special guest Dr. Satya Narayan Suwal, President of Nepal Heart Foundation Central Office, appreciated the Lalitpur Branch for being the best among the 77 branches across the country and assured continued support  from the central office for its future programs.

While reviewing the newly released book “Mutu-sita Mutuharu,” former Chairman of the branch Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar said that publishing such a book with a distinct purpose beyond traditional pamphlets was a matter of pride. The book’s author, Mr. Dilli Prakash Ghimire (also a former Chairman of the branch), explained that the book was compiled with the aim of promoting love and care between hearts, and includes detailed documentation of the branch’s journey.

Addressing health and heart-related issues, senior cardiologist Prof. Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi stressed the importance of controlling high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol. Physiotherapist Dr. Anuj Kumar Jha explained the differences between yoga and physiotherapy and emphasized  timely and proper  treatment  for a healthy lifestyle.

Former Central President  Mr. Balram  Neupane, President of  Heart Club Nepal Mr. Nirmal Kumar Pradhanang, Chairman  of  Kathmandu  Branch Mr. Mahen Mohan Shrestha, Chairman of  Bhaktapur Branch Mr. Rajuram  Munakarmi, and President of Nepal Red Cross Society Mr. Babu Raja Maharjan all extended best wishes. They  encouraged  people  to  volunteer in health-related organizations and raise awareness for a healthy, disease-free life.

On the same day, the chief guest presented letters of appreciation to the Nepal Red Cross Society, Lalitpur Branch, and to the book’s author, Mr. Dilli  Prakash  Ghimire.  NHF Central President Dr. Satya Narayan  Suwal  distributed special and distinguished membership certificates  to  eight  individuals. The Vice-Chairman  of  the  Lalitpur Branch, Mr. Ashok Shrestha, concluded the program with a vote of thanks and stated that the suggestions received during the event would be gradually implemented.
