Honoring Dr. Gauri Shrestha for Establishment of the Dr. Gauri Shrestha Fund

Nepal Heart Foundation (NHF) organized a special appreciation program on July 7, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Nepal Heart Clinic, Jhamsikhel, to honor Dr. Gauri Shrestha for her generous contribution towards the Foundation’s Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) Fund and the establishment of the Dr. Gauri-Subarna Heart Disease Treatment Fund.

The program was attended by Dr. Pushparaj Rajkarnikar, Vice President; Mr. Komal Prakash Ghimire, General Secretary; Mr. Uttam Lal Shrestha, Treasurer, Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi, Past President; Mr. Dilli Prakash Ghimire, Past President; Mr. Anmol Maharjan, Project Manager; Ms. Bimala Maharjan, Program Officer; Mr. Keshav Prasad Dhakal, RHD Educator; and Mr. Suman Shrestha, Office Helper. Dr. Gauri Shrestha attended the event along with her colleague, Advocate Ms. Kamala.

During the ceremony, NHF leadership expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Shrestha for her remarkable generosity to supporting the prevention and treatment of rheumatic heart disease in Nepal. They highlighted that the established Dr. Gauri-Subarna Heart Disease Treatment Fund will strengthen NHF’s efforts in helping the people undergo surgical intervention particularly for underprivileged patients.

A token of appreciation was presented to Dr. Gauri Shrestha in recognition of her philanthropic contribution by Mr. Komal Prakash Ghimire. Dr. Shrestha expressed her pleasure in supporting NHF’s mission and encouraged the Foundation to continue its dedicated work in helping the people in need and reducing the burden or rheumatic heart disease across Nepal.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming Nepal Heart Foundation’s commitment to utilizing the generous donation effectively and transparently to improve the lives of patients.
