Interaction program held on occasion of World Heart Day 2026

Nepal Heart Foundation Central office in coordination with its Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Kavre branches, and Heart Club Nepal, organized an interaction program on the auspicious occasion of World Heart Day 2026, under the theme “Don’t Miss a Beat.” The program was attended by 70 participants, including representatives of the Nepal Heart Foundation, Heart Club Nepal, medical professionals, branch representatives and other stakeholders. The program was MC’ed by Mr. Rupak Kanta Rajopadhyaya, Vice President of Nepal Heart Foundation, Lalitpur Branch.
The program was chaired by Dr. Satya Narayan Suwal, President of Nepal Heart Foundation. Dr. Abani Bhushan Upadhyaya attended as the Chief Guest, while Dr. Chandramani Adhikari, Coordinator of Nepal Heart Net, attended as the Special Guest. The program commenced with the formal seating of the dignitaries and participants, followed by the welcome remarks delivered by Mr. Komal Prakash Ghimire, Secretary General ofthe Nepal Heart Foundation. Dr. Abani Bhushan Upadhyaya, Former President of Nepal Heart Foundation, then formally inaugurated the program.
The main paper on the World Heart Day 2026 theme, “Don’t Miss a Beat,” was presented by Dr. Rajendra Koju. The presentation was followed by an interactive session moderated by Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi, Former President of Nepal Heart Foundation. Participants had the opportunity to raise questions and seek clarification from the presenter and other participating medical professionals. Representatives from the Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavre branches also presented their questions and discussed issues related to the theme and the program.
The questions raised during the program were addressed by Dr. Chandramani Adhikari, Dr. Prem Raj Baidya, Dr. Urmila Shakya, Dr. Rajendra Koju, Dr. Satya Narayan Suwal and Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi.
On the occasion, the book Nepal Heart Foundation Is in My Memory, authored by Dr. Prachanda Pradhan, was formally launched by the Chief Guest, Dr. Abani Bhushan Upadhyaya. Following the launch, Dr. Prachanda Pradhan delivered a brief speech highlighting the background and significance of the book.
The interaction was followed by remarks from Dr. Abani Bhushan Upadhyaya, Chief Guest, and a vote of thanks by Mr. Nirmal Pradhanang, President of Heart Club Nepal. The program concluded with remarks from Dr. Satya Narayan Suwal, President of Nepal Heart Foundation, followed by a tea reception. Overall, the program provided a platform for knowledge sharing, interaction and discussion among medical professionals, Nepal Heart Foundation branches, Heart Club Nepal and other participants on the occasion of World Heart Day 2026. The participation of 70 people and the interactive discussion helped strengthen communication and engagement among the participating stakeholders around heart health.
