World Heart Day 2025 Celebration Program

On the occasion of World Heart Day 2025 (Ashoj 10, 2082 / September 26, 2025), a joint Interaction Program was organized by Nepal Heart Foundation (NHF) Central Office along with Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Kavre branches, and Heart Club Nepal. The event took place at the NHF Hall, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, and began at 3:00 PM. The program was conducted by Mr. Komal Prakash Ghimire, Central General Secretary, and chaired by Dr. Satya Narayan Suwal, Central President of NHF. The ceremony began with the formal seating of dignitaries, including Founder President and Patron Dr. Mrigendra Raj Pandey, branch chairman Mr. Bal Krishna Tuladhar, Mr. Mahen Shrestha, Mr. Rajuram Munankarmi, Mr. Tika Bhakta Bhochhibhoya and President of Heart Club Mr. Nirmal Pradhananga. The event was then followed by the National Anthem and a welcome address by Mr. Bal Krishna Tuladhar, chairman of the Lalitpur Branch.

The program was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Mrigendra Raj Pandey, symbolizing the start of the event. Vice President Dr. Pushpa Raj Rajkarnikar then provided an overview of the day’s objectives and program highlights. The central part of the event featured a panel discussion on the theme of World Heart Day 2025 – “Don’t Miss a beat”, moderated by former president Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi. The panel included distinguished speakers: Dr. Bijoy Gopal Rajbanshi (Consultant Cardiovascular Surgeon), Mr. Nirmal Pradhanang (President, Heart Club Nepal), and Dr. Urmila Shakya (Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist). Their presentations emphasized the importance of heart health, preventive care, and collective responsibility in combating cardiovascular diseases. The discussion was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session with the audience.

In the concluding session, remarks were shared by Mr. Mahen Mohan Shrestha (Chairman, Kathmandu Branch), Mr. Rajuram Munankarmi (Chairman, Bhaktapur Branch), and Dr. Mrigendra Raj Pandey, who praised the collaborative efforts of all participating branches and partners. A vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Tikabhakta Bhocchibhoya (Chairman, Kavre Branch), expressing gratitude to all participants and supporters. The program concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Satya Narayan Suwal, Central President of NHF, who reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to heart health awareness and prevention efforts across Nepal. The event ended on a cordial note with a refreshment and tea session.
